My name is Christine Routh and I started this journey almost 20 years ago...
For as long as I know I have been in the kitchen. I learned the love of baking and cooking in general from my mother, who learned her love from her grandmother, and I'm passing this same love on to my two boys. All through high school I would assist my mother with her hobby baking for friends and family. So naturally when it came time for graduation I decided to continue to refine my knowledge and attended the baking and pastry program at Johnson and Wales university in Charlotte, NC. I spent the next 15 years in various bakeries in any possible position you could imagine. Then, finally, in May 2024 I decided I wanted to be the one behind the name and founded The Traveling Treatery! For the past year I have been traveling to markets, street fairs, and other exciting events spreading the love!
